What is the difference between PVB and EVA interlayer applied in laminated glass?
What is the difference between PVB and EVA interlayer applied in laminated glass?
What is PVB and EVA?
1, PVB (Polyvinyl butyral) or polyvinyl butyral; EVA is ethylene vinyl acetate copolymer (ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer)
2, Processing and storage conditions:
PVB in low temperature (18-22 DEG C) (dry humidity 25%-40%) under the conditions of processing and storage, especially for the humidity requirements are very strict, and with high temperature (120-140 DEG C) and pressure (1.0-1.5MPa), most of production of autoclave for processing. Storage conditions;
EVA relative low temperature does not exceed 30 degrees, humidity is lower than 80%, closing equipment requirements are low, the vacuum degree is larger than 700mmHg (0.092Mpa), the temperature is 100-110 DEG C; coupling process of PVB complex than EVA, a longer period of time, energy consumption is also large.
3. Use: PVB, more for outdoor, such as building curtain wall, car front block glass, etc., EVA more for interior decoration
